Poster series and print design for Art in the Gardens,
a fictional art exhibition that also serves as a fundraising event
for butterfly conservation.
This project was created in a design studio where we were to choose a building on or near campus, and come up with an event and call-to-action. We then photographed our chosen architecture and began a multi-step drawing exercise using our photographs called, ‘point, line, and plane.’ This project was inspired by the process of using an architectural structure to serve as a three-dimensional subject for a two-dimensional translation.
The design was inspired by the contrast of organic and geometric shapes,
the architecture of Reiman Gardens, and the fresh colors of Summertime.
